Advanced programming
Full programs in phases, written from goals, training history and injuries.
- Progressions and deloads built in
- Rep ranges, % of max, time and distance
- Edit one day or every future one
Ringside Trainer does everything a trainer does except coach. It writes advanced programs, organizes your calendar, sets a target for every set, and tracks your progress and body composition. Tell it what you want in plain words, and it does the work.

Type it or say it out loud. Ringside turns a sentence into the actual change: a new client, a full program, a moved session, a logged workout. Each request comes back with a checklist of exactly what it did.
Add Maria, 42, wants to lose 20 lb, Mon/Wed/Fri, bad left shoulder.✓Client added · profile, goal and injury note saved · trains Mon, Wed, Fri
Build Jordan an 8-week upper/lower strength program, 4 days, starting Monday.✓Program set · 8 wks · Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri · 2 phases · calendar filled
From now on swap his leg extensions for walking lunges, 3×12.✓Changed in every future Lower day, from week 7 · past logs untouched
Move Dana’s Monday to Sunday.✓Glutes moved from Mon, Oct 19 to Sun, Oct 25
Log for Chris today: squat 225 for 5, 5, 5, ran 2 miles in 18.✓Back squat 225 × 5, 5, 5 · Run 2 mi · 18:00 · 9:00 /mi
Who hasn’t trained this week?✓Sam, last workout 16 days ago · 6 missed sessions
Changed your mind? Undo reverses the whole request in one tap. Bigger rewrites show a preview you approve first.
Programming, organizing, tracking progress and measuring results take a trainer hours every week. Ringside handles all four and keeps them in sync, so a change in one shows up everywhere else.
Full programs in phases, written from goals, training history and injuries.
Pick training days once and the calendar fills itself for the whole program.
A target on every set, built from the last time you did it.
Weight, body fat and lean mass over time, next to the training that changed them.
No scrolling back through old logs mid-session. Each exercise opens with a target built from the last time it was done, and tapping ✓ on an empty set fills it in. Talk to log: “squats 235 for 7, 7, 6.”
| Last time | Today’s target | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Hit the top of the rep range on every set | Add weight, back to the bottom of the range | +10 lb legs · +5 lb upper · +2.5 lb DB |
| Inside the range | Same weight, one more rep | +1 rep |
| Fell 3+ reps short | Drop the load and rebuild | −10% |
| Program says “75% 1RM” | That share of the best estimated max | % of e1RM |
| First time doing it | Start weight from the program or profile | baseline |

Real programs change. A client gets a new shoulder issue, a schedule shifts, the next phase needs heavier variations. Ringside makes those changes without rebuilding anything.

Open the app and the roster is already sorted. Clients who need a check-in sit at the top, with the reason next to their name.

All of your clients’ sessions on one calendar, colored by person. Press and hold a session to drag it to another day. Change someone’s training days and the rest of their program reflows to match.

Run your whole roster: programs, calendars, session logging and progress reports, with the Assistant doing the busywork while you coach.
Join with your trainer’s code. See today’s workout, log it with targets ready, and watch your numbers climb between sessions.
Your own trainer at your fingertips. Answer a short questionnaire about your history, goals and schedule, and Ringside builds the program, sets every target and tracks your results.

“A trainer will never be replaced. The coaching and the motivation are ours. Everything else should run itself.”
Ringside Trainer is built by Josh Ringering, a personal trainer in Dallas. It started as the tool he wanted for his own clients and runs their training today. The name comes from the corner: a trainer is ringside for every round, and the app is there for everything in between.
The idea is simple. A trainer’s value is in the room: reading how a client moves, knowing when to push, keeping them coming back. The programming, scheduling and record-keeping around that should take minutes, not evenings.
Ringside Trainer is in use with real clients now and heading to the App Store. Early access starts with trainers, then opens to clients and people training on their own.
We’re inviting a small group of trainers first. If you train with Josh, ask him about joining the beta.
Ringside Trainer is in beta with real clients now and is headed to the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Trainers get access first.
It does everything a trainer does except coach: writing programs, keeping the calendar, setting targets, and tracking progress and body composition. The cues, the form checks and the motivation in the room stay with the trainer.
Yes. Answer a few questions about your goals, history and schedule, and Ringside builds your program and adjusts it as you progress.
Yes. Each client gets an invite code. They see the program you assign, log their own workouts and see their progress, and you see everything they log.
Connecting wearables is planned, so sleep, recovery, steps and workouts can come in automatically and inform the day’s training.
Your training and health information is used to run the app for you and your trainer. It is never sold or used for advertising. The privacy policy has the details.
Pricing will be announced at launch. Beta users will hear first.
